Our team is an international powerhouse of good energy and vibes. We have 60+ volunteers island wide as well as adoption teams in Greece, Sweden, the UK. Pitbull Rescue Cyprus was established in 2012 when founder Steph Costas moved to Cyprus and realized how desperate the situation is locally with neglected, abused, and abandoned bully breeds. What really needed to change was the policies in existing pounds and shelters that these dogs were not re-homeable.
Pitbull Rescue Cyprus was established not only to help the dogs, but to start a pitbull-positive movement island-wide. This movement spread like wildfire and our organization gained loyal supporters who show up to our events with the same shared passion for bullies as us. We've gained so many friends to the organization and absolutely love seeing our supporters show up to our fundraising events, adoption events, and shelter walks.
